Proofing

Check files and proofs before the run, because reprints are expensive.

Why it matters

Artwork goes onto the supplied dieline, gets preflighted, then approved as a digital proof and ideally a physical sample before committing to the full run.

How to apply it

  • Preflight: CMYK or spot, bleed, fonts outlined, images 300 ppi
  • Approve a digital proof carefully
  • Ask for a physical sample for new structures

Common mistakes

  • Approving proofs on a phone
  • Skipping samples for new materials
