Safe zone previewer

Drop your text on a story, reel or feed frame and see whether platform buttons and captions will cover it.

Zones are close approximations of where buttons, captions and profile details sit. They shift between apps and phones, so leave yourself margin.

Design for the frame, not the canvas

Vertical video is 1080 by 1920, but the middle is the only part you own. The top carries the profile row and the progress bars, and the bottom carries the caption, the audio strip and a stack of buttons on the right. On Instagram that adds up to roughly the top 250 and the bottom 420 pixels, plus a right-hand column.

The feed has its own trap: a 4:5 portrait post is cropped to 3:4 in the profile grid, so anything near the outer edges disappears from your own page. Keep key words and faces central, repeat the hook as on-screen text in the safe middle, and check the preview in the app before you schedule.
