Headline analyzer
Score a headline on length, specificity, clarity and promise, and get rewrites built from proven patterns.
Rewrites to steal
These are patterns, not finished lines. Keep the promise honest: a headline the page doesn't deliver costs you the next click too.
What makes a headline work
A headline has one job: make the next line worth reading. The ones that do it tend to be specific rather than clever, name the reader or their situation, and promise something concrete. Numbers help because they set expectations before anyone clicks.
Length matters in context. Around 55 to 60 characters survives in a search result, and a short opening clause survives in a feed. Write ten and pick one, because the first line you write is usually the topic, not the headline.
