Know what to fix before you fix it.

Consulting, design strategy and content strategy for founders who are tired of guessing. We work out who you sell to, what they need to hear, and what your website has to do, then hand you a plan ranked by what it does for pipeline.

Three ways in

Consulting, design and content

Take one, or all three. They share the same research, so nothing gets done twice.

A

Consulting

An outside view on why the website isn't pulling its weight. We review the site, your funnel data and a few sales calls, then tell you plainly what's broken.

  • 6-phase website audit
  • Funnel and analytics review
  • Competitor teardown
B

Design strategy

What the site needs to do, page by page. Architecture, priorities and conversion paths decided before anyone opens Figma.

  • Sitemap and page priorities
  • Conversion paths by buyer
  • UX principles for your team
C

Content strategy

What to say, to whom, and in what order. Messaging and topics built from your buyers' real questions, not a keyword list.

  • Positioning and messaging
  • Buyer question map
  • Content plan and formats

The questions we answer

Questions strategy answers

  • Who is our website actually for?
  • Why do visitors leave without booking?
  • What do we say that competitors can't?
  • Which pages matter, and which can go?
  • Do we need a redesign, or better copy?
  • What should we fix first?

Is this you?

You need strategy if…

You stop spending on redesigns that change the colours and nothing else.

  • Everyone on the team describes the product differently
  • You've redesigned before and nothing really changed
  • You're not sure if the problem is design, copy or positioning
  • You need a plan the board, sales and marketing all agree on

Strategy FAQ

Questions about strategy

Something else? Email admin@baddesign.io. The founder replies.

Is this just a fancy audit?

The audit is step one. Strategy is what you do with it: who you're really selling to, what to say to them, and the order to fix things in. You leave with decisions, not a PDF of opinions.

Can we do strategy without hiring you to build?

Yes. Plenty of teams take the roadmap to their in-house designers. It's written so anyone can execute it.

Who needs to be involved from our side?

Usually the founder, whoever owns marketing, and one person from sales. We keep it to a few focused sessions, not a month of meetings.

Do you need access to our analytics?

It helps a lot. Read-only access to analytics and your CRM lets us back recommendations with your own numbers instead of guesses.
